Description
There is an application (mpg321) that allows a user to hover their mouse pointer over any music file to hear a preview. I use this feature all of the time. If it was placed in Ubuntu, it should also be placed in the file chooser as well

The beste place to put this is probably in the ubuntu-restricted-extras package.

This auto did it in 7.04 but for some reason was taken off in 7.10. Who knows why but it was a great feature and needs to be put back on.

I think it's included in Hardy.

Current nautilus, even in 7.04 and 7.10 have mp3 preview, as long as the files are local and you have something to decode them. You simply hover your pointer over the file and it will begin playing a short bit of it.
