Description
When I tag my MP3s with EasyTag and UTF-16 (ID3v2), Nautilus shows in the context menu in audio tab anything but not the right content of the tags.

Nothing except maybe Java uses UTF-16 by default. Although it should be possible to work out the character encoding since it's specified within the tag (although it's more likely it would need to be guessed).
+1 for character encoding freedom

Also some widely used mobile phones use UTF-16, e.g. Samsung.

Also useful for compatibility with java programs developed on windows e.g. Compendium.
