Related to: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Description
Release 8.04 (hardy) contains tools for checking and reporting hardware compatibility (System Tools → Hardware Testing).

This is good start. Thanks for it! However I am missing few important questions. Many people are begging for suspend/hibernate support and sound recording fixes. Following questions will help to determine problematic hardware.

Is suspend mode working?
Is hibernate working?
Is sound recording working?

also, when these things get more integrated into ubuntu, it'd be nice if it asked you whether you have a bluetooth device attached/built-in, and have it report whether it detects it or not, same with fingerprint readers, and ideally (but not extremely necessary) tablets...

Definitely needs to be expanded

Idea #40 HWDB (HardwareDB) seems to ask you what is working...

This does seem to cover off the angle that not enough questions are being asked.

I agree though... more questions could be asked. [or as one idea that was out there - more tests could be written]
