Description
Automatix is buggy and can even break the system, dispite that, many people still use it because it is a simple and easy way to install many useful stuff...
Sure people can just install the package ubuntu-restricted-extras, but automatix is much more easy to use for people still learning linux, besides, it includes some programs not even in ubuntu repositories...
An alternative made by Canonical would be very nice.
[edit] Automatix is no longer supported on ubuntu!
It was one of the main reasons newbies used ubuntu, I think this makes it even important to develop a good alternative!

@sedra:
I somehow doubt one app is going to be the downfall of Ubuntu, especially from a Linux distribution hardly anyone has heard of.

Automatix isn't needed anymore. Ubuntu already does everything by default that Automatix used to help do.

Automatix doesn't do anything you need anymore. It just breaks things.
