I believe medibuntu just get the "ubuntu orientedness" in common with canonical. it's a comunauty based initiative so canonical can't do anything to solve that problem, sorry.

Besides Hardy Heron has not been released yet... I guess it is just a matter of patience and common sense ;)
If you cannot resist, I think that for non core packets it is not a problem to use the gutsy repo... I used to use dapper repos under fiesty, fiesty repos under dapper and I have a couple of gutsy repos under hardy and no problem. Of course you ahve to pay attention to what you do.

doing a search for "medibuntu hardy" on google gave me 2 different ways to enable the medibuntu repo in hardy on the first page...

Dear developers, you know that we all love you! :)

But some things are just good to be reminded, it's just an idea, you know... :)

Ssdg is right, medibuntu is a community project. You should contact the medibuntu people not Canonical.

I am now beginning to truly understand why Canonical wants to control the use of the word "ubuntu"/"buntu" etc in relation to linux because it seems anything with "buntu" at the end has people assuming Canonical controls it.

This is not possible... some packages there are illegal in some countries. In Germany the lib for dvd css decryption. Yes if we want to look our legal buyed with this lib we are criminals! ;)

PS: the medibuntu repository for hardy is already available!
