Description
A feature I really like on Mac OS X is that there's an option to have a voice speak the time on the hour. It's great while at work to keep me on task. There should also be an option to chime instead of voice (think the church bell way of announcing time). It should be rather straightforward to implement this. In fact, why not have check buttons for "on the half hour" and "on the quarter hour" with corresponding sounds?

Seems rather annoying.
I don't find this useful.

"seems rather annoying"
Then don't use the proposed feature.

I agree, people shouldnt vote/put down ideas just because they themselves dont like them, but rather base their choice on the plausibility of the idea's implementation...
that being said, I could see this being somewhat useful, except maybe for the church bell part, which would announce the hour by the # of rings (if I assume correctly?), but a nice subtle ring at certain user-specified times might be useful. I know I could use that as a college student, when Im zoned out on my laptop waiting for my next class...

As long as I can turn it off when too much is too much, I love this idea!
