Might have voted for some of these if you'd created separate ideas for them, but not as-is, as some things (tab support) are totally against the conceptual model of how nautilus works.

you can vote for it, with reservations.
I didn't want the ideas to get lost in the noise

+1, although this only scratches the surface of what's needed to improve Nautilus IMHO.
Lee: "tab support ... totally against the conceptual model of how nautilus works"
Well, maybe the 'conceptual model' needs to be changed if tabs are what people want - and they do. Is Nautilus built for the people who develop it or the community that uses it? *Optional* tabs keeps everyone happy.
I think Nautilus suffers from that entrenched, elitist "we've always done it this way, we're always going to do it this way" mentality. If the project carries on like that it will become more irrelevant as people migrate to Thunar, PCManFM, etc., and at some point it will get dropped by Ubuntu because it no longer provides what the community wants.
Developing software in a vacuum rarely works out long term.

Can't really fault any of these suggestions. Tabs are needed more than any of the other ideas in my opinion (but again, thats just my opinion).
5. A nice idea but I find the disk mounter more useful for this purpose. Once you add it to the panel you can access and unmount your disks from anywhere.
@ DavidONE, i'd +1 your comment if I could. Especially:
"Is Nautilus built for the people who develop it or the community that uses it?"
Spot on.

With such things (not-related to Ubuntu) go upstream.
If you put everything here, nothing will be done.

I voted up b\c I think Nautilus could be refined by streamlining to have only 1 toolbar.
Having 2 creates a lot of wasted space and I think there is enough redundancy that 1 well designed toolbar would suffice.

Me, I and myself wants a trash icon, an firefox icon, a link to http://onsenfout.com, a pic of tabatha and 3 close buttons all around the window. It's a must have for egonomy (yes ego)
-1 of course
look back, nautilus has a long story of add/remove features, you can't just come and cry "i want thaaaat"

Please post all these great ideas in separate posts. It's not possible to work with multiple ideas in the same post and to count votes. Thanks for your participation in brainstorm!

In my opinion ubuntu doesn't need to be like a Mac or Windows. Just take his own way! so if you need more mac-like features, go get one ;)
