Description
Any problems with Vista? (surely not more than one blue screen of death each week?) - spyware or virus? Then instead of spending time fixing it, just put in the live CD and restore the entire partition from an image...

It's superior to 'System Restore' and better than anything I saw in linux yet... (user friendly too..)

From inside Ubuntu, a simple backup solution to allow the user to backup the system to an image, with the option to backup sections of the system from separate partitions or hard disks to create an image, or multiple images.

Personally, I try to keep personal files on a separate partition, so just want to backup THIS partition to an image file.

It's called a rescue CD. There are quite a few linux utils for making them, and they've been available since before Vista even existed as a concept. Check out mondo, for instance.
