Description
This seems pretty obvious. We need to have something that comes up that's lightweight (system resource wise) that will highlight the improvements of 8.04 over 7.10. Why not?

Looks the same as idea #136 - a slideshow during the installalation. It is already being worked on.

Perhaps not a slideshow of the improvements. As people installing Ubuntu for the first time, may not have used a previous version. I think there should be more a slideshow of features.

Maybe, when upgrading, the slideshow could be of improvements?

> As people installing Ubuntu for the first time
can be easily dealt with by just giving an option, something like: are you a new user or familiar with a previous version of Ubuntu?

jerieljan that is another idea altogether isn't it?

Priority should be on the ease-of-use of the installer and installation speed.

I voted +1, because it's not a bad idea, but just realize that while Ubuntu is spending time and money in tuning nice slideshows, nobody work on the bugs, drivers etc. So, let's say, +0.5 :-)
