Description
In the LiveCD and in the installed ubuntu should have these administrative applications:
-Aptoncd, needed to create our own cd repositories.
-Gparted, there is in the Live CD but not in the installed ubuntu.
-Startupmanager needed to configure grub.
-Bum (boot-up manager), its a graphical run-level editor
Tanks for read :-)

GParted is useful on the LiveCD.
But after installation, it is rarely something that is needed.

I don't think any of those should be installed by default, they're not the kind of apps a typical user would need and they would populate the administration menu needlessly.
I DO think that aptoncd should be included in the CD by default. It's useful to install stuff in computers without an internet access, but how do you make use of it if you have to get it from the internet in the first place?

I'm not sure they would fit on the CD.

StartUp-Manager would be useful. I have often needed to change the startup configuration and I had to figure out how to modify the menu.lst file manually and it was a pain. I have had to do this may times on many systems. A graphical method for selecting default operating systems is a must for new users.
GParted would also be useful. I have often had to use it to get external drives that are unformatted or what have you working. A graphical method for managing drive partitions is a must for all desktop operating systems.
BUM, maybe, it should be included, but not have a menu option, kind of like msconfig on windows, useful for when you have to call tech support, but not something you want normal users to just go in and fiddle with.
aptoncd shouldn't be installed by default as most people never use it.

I totally agree with that and the most important ones are GParted and StartUpManager.
Very tiny programs that could easily fit in LiveCD and in the default installation!
Please do that, Ubuntu devs!
