Description
I'd be nice if ubuntu had an aplication or mode that alowed windows or mac programs to work in ubuntu- I do alot of projects with people who still use windows- it gets difficult to work with them when I can't edit, or even open an office document on ubuntu, this would bridge a gap for more people to use ubuntu

Maybe integration with a Vmware solution would work, because unless you use Wine there is really no other way.

Wine is a Windows compatibility layer for Linux.
You can open Office documents in Ubuntu with OpenOffice.

I agree with him, we should really try to get wine for OSX too (and it should be easier to code then Wine for windows, because OSX uses all Unixy backends like CUPS).

Unless your using an older machine, I simply don't see the need....but that's just my opinion. I'm an avid VMware fan and it suits my needs perfectly.

Mac gaming is getting there thanks to a transgaming project called Cider.
