Description
I have been a user of Microsoft Windows for a long time and I regret to say that they have managed to "standardize" on some form of programming language and IDE (Visual Studio) and VB.net as default settings for programming. In ubuntu there are many languages and programming environments very much, but would not be great if it came with an IDE and programming language by default?. Maybe would be a good idea if you do a new IDE with Python as a language centre, so serious easier for developers of other environments migrate to Linux and more specifically to UBUNTU.

Someone said eclipse is being standardised or something..
In terms of the language though, what we need is a scripting language like applescript

Its not my all time favorite programming language, but you can consider python to be the default 'integration' scripting language.

Microsoft did they so they could hold a majority marketshare, not to be "convenient"
The great thing about Linux is choice, and there's heaps of choice for IDEs and APIs in linux.
