wine 0.9.58 (released today) will hit hardy soon. Scott Ritchie is working on new packages and they will reach the archives in no time. Thanks to motu-release for the standing FeatureFreeze Exception for Wine.

I just use winehq's repository, it takes like a week before they make the ubuntu binary though, if you always want edgy applications you should use other repos/backports or get to compile the software yourself.

yeah, I tried wine repository, but they don't support Hardy Heron yeat, and even when using the repository for Gutsy Gibbon, I couldn't update to the latest version...

I reckon this is a bit of a redundant idea, because wine is commonly used software, so ubuntu developers will try to keep it up to date (they certainly wont forget this one).

So I definately dont disagree (how can I disagree with updated software?), but I don't feel having this idea will change anything really..

So +0, happy easter

It takes time to compile the debs. The MOTUs have over 23000 packages on their hands!
