Description
Beg, borrow, and plead to get a legal way to include ZFS in Ubuntu. A full port, not the slow/buggy FUSE one. Every type of user would benefit from having this.

I agree.

Also key that solid gui tools are created to provide users with an easy means of making use of ZFS's features beyond storing files, like snapshots.

ZFS solves the early 90s problem of managing massive local storage.

It provides no benefit for desktop users, or modern environments where large amounts of data are stored on SANs.

Waste of effort.

Btrfs or HammerFS might both be better options and don't have the same licensing encumberance.

It's the only filesystem to get journaling right, allowing full replays. Think windows style system restore points, only better.
