I don't think you can 'force' a development team to rewrite an application in GTK+. What's the big deal about running a QT application on Gnome? It works just fine. -1.
I love native gnome applications on a gnome desktop and iI hate kde file dialogs in a gnome environment. And the next is, picard is not in the repositories.
Well, sometimes you just have to deal with the fact that an application is not written with the GTK+ toolkit. Just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean that the dev team is going to rewrite their application.
Actually, using QT4 is much preferred over using QT3. With QT3, you have to install a whole bunch of dependencies. When I installed my first QT4 application, it required only one dependency...the core qt4 package. Now, using QT4 apps in Gnome is MUCH nicer than QT3 and doesn't clutter up the system.
