Description
I know this may be a firefox related question, but oh well...
In winblows, when I scrooled the wheel with my mouse being on a flash(like the flash videos on youtube) it will continue scrooling. In ubuntu if I scrool with the cursor on the flash,it does nothing.
Try it for yourself. You shall see.
I think this is totally stupid and should be solved

i can confirm that its fixed in FF3b5pre, other than that its a Firefox bug so theres nothing ubuntu could do.

I'm running yesterdays nightly of Firefox 3 (also called b5pre), and here it's still a problem with my laptops touchpad. I don't know if it's still a problem with the scrollwheel on a normal mouse, I can't test that now.

Works fine for me, Firefox 3 beta 4.
and by the way, it's scroll, not scrool. :)

Flash is a seperate application, which does its own input processing. It SHOULD react differently to scrolling over it, just as a toolbar button should act differently from text in a wordprocessor when you click. There's nothing stupid about it; just your misunderstanding of how a GUI works.

knowing a thing or two about Mozilla plugins, I guess it's caused by the way Mozilla provides a window handle for plugins. Mozilla uses Xt handle which has it's own focus behavior (steals focus on mouse over) which is not consistent with GTK.
There is a better way to do this - use X-Embed instead.
You could probably port the plugin but there's one problem - You don't have the source :)
This is a good point for the free flash replacements attempts.

Btw, what in Firefox does it work better in Linux than in "winblows"? Let's make a new browser!
