Make back/forward mouse buttons work in Nautilus

Today most computer mouses are equiped with back and forward buttons, but still if you want to get them to work in Nautilus you have to jump through hoops, and there's no GUI for it either. This is one of those small, annoying things that makes (Ubuntu) Linux look a bit amateurish for people used to other OSes (or at least Windows, I don't know how Mac OS does it). I know that Linux isn't amateurish, but but seeing it from the perspective of a new user, I think that a small thing like this will make some people feel that "if they can't even do that basic thing.." And besides that, it is really annoying! So please fix this so that it works by default without any configurations (not even with GUI)!

I would prefer this in a file browser like Nautilus, than a web browser.

But with Gnome they are anti-mouse, they don't even support setting number of lines scrolled by the mouse wheel.
