My computer is worse at memory and CPU than yours and I run firefox with no problem.

But firefox 3 (to come on next ubuntu releases) is optimizing itself anyways.

I read on internet and ubuntu forums, many people have this problem. Just type the title on google and you can see that, it's a firefox bug, not just on linux, on mac os also. Only on windows work great?!?!

yeah, it's terrible!!
often I have Firefox hanging or going choppy...

and my cooler spinning like crazy, 99% cpu usage (2.6 ghz dual core) just because of Firefox!

Yes, I confirm this lack of system fiability.

Firefox 3 has improved memory management.

maybe use another defaultbrowser ... kazahakaze or galeon are gecko and faster.

This is done. Firefox 3 they did a lot of it.

And when the hell is your idea any more important then any other? -100000

Actually, I cant even install Ubuntu on this computer because of driver issues, so I think thats higher priority anyway

Firefox 3 is out soon and one of the major missions was to fix all these problems. So you are pitching something that has already been done.

-1, firefox problem - not an ubuntu one, impossible to fix without upstream working on it - which they are already doing it.
