Description
Ubuntu already has a "Send To" dialog when you right click an item, but its only to send it to things like e-mail, it would be cool if you could put all of our "bookmarked locations" in that menu, so we can move files from our desktop or other folders quickly into our Documents, Music, Pictures, etc...

This would help the users migrating from Windows, I'd think. I'm one of them, but I hate to admit it. I'm rather neutral on it myself, but I don't believe it would be harmful, so I'm giving it a thumbs-up.

Hrm. "send to" is intergrated with epiphany and pidgin (the first emails the file, the second sends a file via pidgin). So I think it functions a bit differently than the windows equivalent.

We already have this in Kubuntu :-)
Agreed, I would like to see it in UbuntuStudio too :-)

I suggest to add "copy" and "move to" options for right-click and when you choose them you see complete file system and it's easy to copy anything with the context menu.

There is Telepathy plugin made by Marco Barisione and Iguess Emanuele Aina and it is called Telekinesis. It does just that. Integrates into right click, offers options where to send. For instance instant messaging.
It has been waiting for upstream inclusion for a while now. Take a look at http://www.barisione.org/blog.html

I've never used or liked a "Move to" menu simply because it seems unnecessary. Why not just open a folder and drag?

Please be careful with the term "SEND", I believe it could be misleading. Is "send" going to move or copy the file? I suggest to add "copy" and "move to" options for right-click in the file manager. Send should be used only for e-mail...

I used a program in XP that, among other things, added "Move Folder" to the right click bar and it's the one thing I truly miss about XP. As far as "Why not open a folder and drag?" goes, IT'S EASIER! It eliminates a number of key strokes. And I do a lot of file moving/rearranging on my multiple hard disk system. I prefer Gnome and REALLY want this feature!!!
