Idea #4456: Option to enable Avant-window-navigator when enabling compiz-fusion

Description

Simple add avant-window-navigator to the repository (which it will be in 8.04) and when installing restricted drivers add an option to download and install awn.

I Dont think this makes much sense, once again, it caters only for OSX users really.. AWN installation does not belong in restricted drivers.. Maybe offer it as a package during install, but hmm

Actually, it should be offered during install anyway.. I hope http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/item/3483/ gets pushed through

yeah i didnt mean that it should be included in restricted drivers. I simply ment that when you install restricted drivers enabling your graphics card and compiz fusion you should get an option to download and install awn. Sorry if my post was confusing :)

Apple's OS X Dock is now patented [1] so AWN, if still around in a year, will never be included by default with Ubuntu.
