I'm not certain, but I think this would go in the 'partners' repository

It's a very good and open source game, it could go in either repository.

Might as well be in the repos; I can't have the source to compile it.

An Ubuntu package could fix the sound by default by issuing those 2 commands and putting them in /etc/rc.local. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

If someone replaces all the proprietary artwork with a free alternative, it could be included in the standard repository. Right now it's doomed to third-party repositories.

As much as I would love to see this, I believe ID's official position is that they do not want anybody repackaging their games (ie putting it in a deb in a repo.) We would need to convince them to let us repackage and distribute it.

go_beeb_yourself: yes that only happened though when i was using my nvidia/realtek "daughter" card. when i took that out and used an old creative audio card i no longer had the problem I guess a modprobe or something might have to be done to check for certain hardware.

Which Enemy Territory are we talking about? The old Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory or the new Enemy Territory: Quake Wars?
As far as I know none of them are open source any way - but they work on linux and especially Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory would be nice to be able to install easily because it's a good multiplayer game as far as I've heard and it plays well on older computers where linux in general already is very strong.

Enemy territory could go to multiverse repository, just like TeamSpeak but ID would have to agree to repackage the game.

ET can be easily installed and you shouldn't have problems making the patch selector ;) but it would be nice if you would write enemy territory in the synaptic and it would find the package

We need ET in add/remove software, not only synaptic...
