Idea #4265: Pidgin: Tabs disabled by default

Written by Steve413z the 11 Mar 08 at 19:07. Category: Internet & Networking. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
When you first start using pidgin, if you have multiple IM conversations, the default behavior is to have one IM window with multiple tabs, but most other IM clients just open multiple windows.

(To turn off tabs:
Buddy List > Tools > Preferences > Uncheck: Show IMs and Chats in Tabbed Windows)

I could understand this. First time i used Gaim, I opened about 5 different tabs before I realized... hahaha...

AIM now uses tabs. And it's rather hard to go back to separate windows, so I think the AIM users will feel right at home. XD
