Description
I would like to have a little backup tool that can copy some folders to another place (e.g. external harddrive). But it shouldn't overwrite existing backups, if the existing file isn't an older version (hope you understand what I'm trying to say).

A windows program that can do this is for example this:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fasteasy-backup/

I would like to have a tool with the functionality of that app installed by default in Ubuntu (well, it doesn't have to do 5 backups at once, but it should be able to create backup profiles or scripts).

I would love a backing up tool with a nice interface like Time Machine WITH an option to run from the terminal for emergency cases (boot without user interface).
Besides, it should be compatible with all OS (FAT?) so the data is available in any occasion.

A TimeMachine like would be perfect, 2 candidates:

TimeVault
FlyBack

NOT Default. If I want it backed up, I'll back it up myself.

Lots of good backup systems available in Synaptic already. Choose your favorite, already.
