Written by fragro the 10 Mar 08 at 10:52. Category: Gaming.
Related to: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Description
There are many OpenSource Games not in Ubuntu. The installation/compiling of these is often not easy (enough) for end users! Include these to get more gaming experienced users to Ubuntu.

An generic Feature freeze exception for games (especially for online games) maybe useful! Not a must have!

open:
Vegastrike (more actual)
dangerdeep
boson
eternal lands

don't know (license/copyright?):
freecnc
homeworld sdl (needs original gamecd)

commercial/closed:
eve online
second live

feel free to find more!

This isn't an idea. If you want a game added to the repository then request it on launchpad.net .

Feature Freeze exception isn't going to happen.

Getdeb.net started working Playbuntu, which is a really nice solution: http://digg.com/linux_unix/getdeb_net_announces_Playbuntu
