Idea #4035: Add a Blue version of the default Brownisn them...

Written by rpgmaker the 9 Mar 08 at 23:56. Category: Look and Feel. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
I've been wishing for this since day one. I like how the brown is part of the Ubuntu image and branding, is very original. But adding a blue version of the default theme won't hurt anybody. And by blue version I'm not telling a blue theme complete different from the default one, I'm asking for the same theme in a bluish color. The brown theme is awesome the only drawback is the color, but the design is very good. Of course with a new theme comes along a new set of icons :)

Misspelled it in the title.

There are already blue themes; they just aren't default. I don't see a huge need or priority to include one, but it's not a bad idea. I'm not going to vote up or down though.

look in the synaptics package manager for the package blubuntu-look, install it and you've got what you wished for.

Done.

I usually dislike the color brown, but the theme in Ubuntu is really pretty.

@oencke: The thing is that that isn't the same theme, is another one in blue, is not nearly as professional as the default one is. I refer to it in the ubuntuforums I posted along the idea. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=439789

I think blubuntu should be installed by default. =/ not enabled, but as an option in Appearance.
