Rationale
People who use their Ubuntu machines in a business environment will need to sync their contacts and calendar information with many different mobile devices. There are really only a few steps that would have to be accomplished to do this:
1) Clean up the Opensync and SyncML plugin packages to work properly with Evolution by default.
2) Set up an official Ubuntu SyncML server for Ubuntu users.
3) Possibly clean up open source SyncML clients for the different mobile platforms.
This will effectively circumvent the lack of support for the Linux environment by most PDA and Smartphone developers.
Same with an ipaq 3715. I could do some synchros but once in one way, another time in the other, like randomly. I didn't find an easy way of configuring multisync.
It's still not user friendly

Thanks for this great idea. I set it as a duplicate because idea 28 already has more votes but I will forward the suggestions from your description. Thanks!
