Rationale
Being able to bring a second sidebar in nautilus. Thus, one could contain favorites, and the other could be a navigation tree ... We could also have the opportunity to stack multiple sidebars...

I perfectly agree! It's definitely necessary to be able to navigate (tree/places), see information (information) and take file-notes (notes) without switching around every time.
