Idea #3386: Better support for Chinese and SCIM

Written by JYC the 5 Mar 08 at 18:58. Category: Others. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
SCIM is nice and all, but Chinese is pretty much obsolete without Chinese fonts configured properly (you'll see those boxes), an act which I can't do. How about installing the fonts properly when I check the "Enable support to input complex characters" box?

Agreed. Even after trying to install chinese fonts, I have some characters working, and others not working, even for simple phrases like ni hao. Surely there should be some way to say, "install the best fonts available for traditional chinese".
