Idea #3315: Ease (automatize) samba shares

Written by flamspower the 5 Mar 08 at 11:49. Category: Internet & Networking. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Today, Samba shares are not directly accessible within Nautilus (must use 3rd party apps like FuseSmb, ...). Thus it is not possible to access shared folders from a lot of applications.

It would be nice to have, integrated in Nautilus, something like the Windows "Network Favorites".

It would also be useful to have "Offline folders" ability that allows to permanently synchronize a network folder with your computer so that when the Network is down you still have access to your synchronized folders.
