Idea #3139: Control-Alt-Delete key combination for start up system monitor

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #84: System Monitor Difficult to Find.
Written by Xfactor the 4 Mar 08 at 17:49. Category: Others. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
The more similar applications can be summoned by same key combinations, the smoother the transition from Windows to Ubuntu.

Contral-alt-delete would be a start, because many people use this one to delete annoying processes or to change priority. I use 'ubuntu system monitor' for the same kind of actions.

This key combination is well known to windows users, and it would be nice to do the same in Ubuntu for changing the priority of running software or to delete processes.

This will help the transition from windows to ubuntu for many people.

Ctrl+Alt+Del has become such a joke and it's over use in Windows a common criticism that it should be avoided.

Ctrl-Shift-Esc is better (thats the same way as you should do it in Windows btw)
Also try windows(super)-Pause/break

Also, it should be noted that different versions of Windows have all reacted in different ways to the combo.
