Idea #30: Revision Controlled Home Directories

Rationale
Loosing days of work in two clicks could appends and I think this can be avoided if the whole home directory was controlled by a local CVS-like revision system. But this must be transparent for the end-user.

A nice interface could be implemented too to browse into this revision system like the Apple's "Time machine".

Given the size of the hard disk drives we have these days, it would indeed be a nice feature. We have something like that at my university, it's based on diffs (6 per day, one weekly and one monthly) and it allows users to retrieve their files in case they accidentally delete them.

I'd really like to see something like git used for this. It's much faster than the others and could provide easy branching.
