Idea #29915: Improving the workspace switcher

Written by pascalio the 30 Jun 12 at 17:43. Related project: Unity. Status: New
Rationale
It is possible to launch a program from the workspace switcher expo mode thanks to the unity bar that is displayed, but left-clicking an application icon will only take you down to the selected workspace: you cannot access the quicklist menu which could prove to be as useful as open a window, for example, in the case of nautilus folder quicklist or any quicklist you have created.

Solution #1: Left-click to show the quicklist
Written by pascalio the 30 Jun 12 at 17:43.
If and only if left-clicking is done on an application icon on the bar, it will display its quicklist instead of falling into the selected workspace, allowing us to launch nautilus in a special folder or quitting an app from expo, and so on.

Solution #1: Surely you mean right-clicking? I would not want to see left-click taking on different meanings.
