Related project: Kubuntu.
Status: Not an idea
Rationale
i find some improvements that can be made on kubuntu that are:
1) ubuntu default settings are not nice looking like in ubuntu are on kubuntu other applications (not integrated into kubuntu default theme), and some are:
firefox, totem, banshee , ..
on opposite vlc and chrome are nice looking like in ubuntu on kubuntu
banshee when close do not go to notification area or don't have any tray icon, and when is close on the menu don't quit and exit and continue playing(this is more like a bug)
2) can not change on default applications music player , video player , web browser like in ubuntu and easy done, and only some options are available

Could you please elaborate on "doesn't look good"? Many of us do not use KDE so we have no idea how it looks. A screenshot (or a few of them) would be a *perfect* way to do this.

This idea seems to have three elements, none of which really belong in Brainstorm.
"Application A seems to have a bug" - please ensure it's a real bug, then post it to the bug tracker. If you need help ensuring or posting the bug, just let us (or the Bug Squad) know.
"Applications B, C, D look better in Ubuntu than in Kubuntu" - do a bit of reasearch and find out why. Is it the old GTK vs QT issue? Or is it really some kind of setting? Some issues may be bugs, some may be decisions by the Kubuntu Team. You should contact the Kubuntu Team ( http://www.kubuntu.org/community ) and see who else there is interested in the topic. There may already be a body of work on this subject.
"Applications E, F, G look better in Kubuntu than in Ubuntu" - Same type of research and action is needed.

Agreed. Closing in Brainstorm.
