Perhaps. This would only be useful to users in a small way.
You would not have to open a new terminal. You can forget cd.
and if you ran nautilus gksudo , this instantly gives you a tied terminal as well.

There is already an equivalent GNOME application called Tilda, and while it's cool I don't think it should be included by default. Also, if you really like Yakuake you can run it under GNOME as well.

AND NO KDE INTEGRATION.
