Idea #28812: Some projects deserve more Support

Written by spyboot the 30 Oct 11 at 18:04. Related project: Ubuntu Software Center. Status: Not an idea
Rationale
Some projects (like ardour - digital audio workstation) just need more support (Translations, money etc.). In case of ardour the developer is working full time on it - but the money he receives is far behind what he needs.

I recommend this video which is the reason i came up with this idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ukd-Am2bbDo

Solution #1: Put a "Support"-button in the Software-Center
Written by spyboot the 30 Oct 11 at 18:04.
I propose to put a "Support this project" or "Support" or "Donate" or whatever - button in the Software-Center which lets the user easily help out that project. Donations could then be given the same way users pay for software in the Software-Center.

And only if some more users would help translate the software they are using, the programmers could do what they do best - program.

I'm sorry for my probably wrong english...
