Solution #1: Use plasma-icon-tasks by default in Kubuntu
Written by gnumdk the 28 Oct 11 at 14:23.
I think it cool be cool to use plasma-icon-tasks as default task manager in Kubuntu and to switch to a vertical panel.

plasma-icon-tasks is fully compatible with Unity et Dockmanager.

Why? Every Desktop Environment is unique and users of KDE would probably not appreciate having their entire interface modified just to make it look more like an interface they don't even use.

You have failed to identify any advantages to having them the same, nor any issues with having them different. If you are using KDE and want it like Unity, why not simply USE Unity?
