Idea #28525: Beta testers are invaded by apport's toplevel windows

Written by Spitfire 95 the 16 Sep 11 at 18:54. Related project: Add/Remove program dialog. Status: New
Rationale
When testing a development branch of Ubuntu, apport shows about ten windows per minute. That's not user-friendly at all. To avoid this problem, I think I'm not the only one to do this, I disable apport repports, so I don't help developers to solve background bugs, but only to solve visible bugs.
I think we can improve apport to make it more user-freindly.

Solution #1: Add an indicator-bugs or indicator-apport
Written by Spitfire 95 the 16 Sep 11 at 18:54.
Append the bug to an indicator which will stock bugs detected. In case of new bugs, change color of the indicator icon, and/or add the number of bugs detected.
If we click on the name of the app which bugs, it will run apport to report the selected bug.
To avoid a unlimited liste of bugs, add a cross to the right of the bugs to close them without reporting them, and a command to clear attention.

@Spitfire 95
Are the reports all related (same software, driver, etc)? I'm just wondering if there is one major bug that is triggering reports that frequently.

There are applications crashes (eg 'Sorry, the program "APP" closed unexpectedly') and others crashes repport which gives no name and are shown so often.
Applications crashes may be reported and then hidden asking to do not show futures bugs of these versions of the apps, but anonymous crashes are often repported to user in testing release, they seems not be closely connected, and these are the kind of bug repports which are so intrusive, and shouldn't be displayed in a toplevel window because of their number.
In the hope it will answer to your question...

Ok, fair enough. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't some corner-case scenario that most Beta-testers wouldn't find themselves in.
