Idea #26826: Allow OpenOffice Menubar to be used as a Toolbar (like Firefox allows)

Written by ester4 the 31 Dec 10 at 17:04. Related project: OpenOffice.org Word Processor. Status: New
Rationale
Vertical space on 16:9 displays is much needed. There is a lot of empty space on the right side of the OpenOffice Menubar. It would be great for usability to be able to move toolbar icons onto the right side of the Menubar. Firefox allows this kind of action on the browser-menubar. OpenOffice should allow it as well. This will enable the user to need less toolbars below the menubar, saving vertical space.

Solution #1: Allow OpenOffice Menubar to be used as a Toolbar (like Firefox allows)

Allow the OpenOffice-Menubar to be used as a Toolbar. Firefox allows its Menubar to have "toolbar" items placed to the right of the menus. OpenOffice should allow the same.
