Idea #26157: There is currently no default way to batch print from the file manager

Written by niallabrown the 17 Oct 10 at 18:02. Related project: Nautilus. Status: New
Rationale
There is no way to batch print from the file manager or from an application. Shotwell doesn't seem to batch print images. This is a very common task and will effect many users.

Provide a program such as GNOME Photo Printer with some usability improvements. Add a link to print from the right click menu in Nautilus window.

Solution #2: Add a print option to file manager
Written by antonk20117 the 27 Feb 13 at 17:17.
An option to print the file may be added to the file manager.

For example a user wants to print 3 files:
text.doc text2.docx and text3.pdf

The feature could look at the extensions and open them in their respective default programs (libreoffice for the first 2 files and documentviewer for the third file in this example).

It will then send them to the default printer and close the files (their respective programs) once they have been sent to the printer.
If no extension is present the print feature will open it with a text editor and attempt to print it as a text file.
