Idea #2615: dual-human(2 screens/keyboards/mouses)

bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #3442: "Click-n-play" Multiseat support .
Written by gregory.mounie the 2 Mar 08 at 23:35. Category: Installation. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
It is common that people need more than one "computer" at the same time. It is possible to use one computer but two graphic cards, connected to two screen, or one dual-screen graphic card and several usb mouse and usb keyboard.
The Xorg.conf/[gk]dm configuration process could be automated.

Yes,

There a few ways to do this.
You can also setup think clients. It comes built into edubuntu.

It's usually called multi-seat configuration. I personally use it at home (dual-seat). I configured all manually, but it would be great if some easy-to-use configuration script would be included. There is a "multiseat" package in ubuntu, but it's outdated and doesn't seem to be maintained.

This shouldn't be hard to achieve in hardy. See this blog post:
