Solution #1: Create an image preview in Nautilus
Written by werdna5225 the 30 Aug 10 at 05:01.
An image previewer in the nautilus browser would allow a picture to be seen in a normal size.

You could always just increase your icon size in that folder...

Is nautilus or the gtk-fileopen dialog the subject here?

I do not understand the problem... Could we have a more detailed description ?

@alexduf2: I'm thinking just for previewing a larger version of the image in Nautilus before opening it in whatever program would be used.

@all: I was actually thinking that Mac OSX column-based file browsing would be a nice feature, because then it'd not only be easy to view a picture, but preview all sorts of files (mp3, midi, text, .odt, etc.)

As Darwin Survivor said you can increase your pictures' size (in my opinion 400% is enough to see pictures).
If this is still an issue, please file a bug report against Nautilus.
