bug This idea is a duplicate of Idea #84: System Monitor Difficult to Find.
Written by 8bit the 12 Jul 10 at 07:19. Category: Usability. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
In Windows systems users can hit the "Ctrl + Alt + Del" keyboard combination in order to open a program called "Task Manager" that allows the user to manage processes and monitor system statistics. Ubuntu has an equivalent software (gnome-system-monitor) but not default equivalent keyboard shortcut.

Written by 8bit the 12 Jul 10 at 07:19.
Making Ctrl-Alt-Del the default shortcut for system monitor will allow parity with Windows, allowing Windows users to more easily adapt to the Ubuntu environment at no functional cost, and at very little labor to implement.
