Description
Would be really great. I am aware, that there are few people who really need this, but the majority does not. See at: http://capsoff.org/

What's the point? How is it bothering you by being available should it be needed?

Not on installation, but being able to deactivate the Caps Lock and any other keys would be great for a locked-down, sandbox computer for someone who's barely computer literate. You know, the person who would become frustrated if their letters became uppercase and didn't know what was happening.
My keyboard is pretty terrible as well, and I often hit Caps Lock by mistake. So I'd actually use the function too.

@ XSP: It bothers very much, since it is very often activated by accident. The caps lock is something back from old typewriter times, but makes not much sense anymore. Activating it buy accident is annoying.

Nice way to shut the fu** up for those newbies yelling at forum/chat, but isn't it a little overkill? :P :D :D
No, seriously, what's the use for it? Besides, if I have understood the site correctly, this is a hardware problem.
Maybe the right way to state this idea is "hability to edit/redefine/rearrange special keys (shift, right shift, CapsLock)"

On windows I have the CAPSLOCK key remapped to mute button functionality. It would be nice if during install (or any time after install) there was a utility to map keys like CAPS and the Windows key, and shortcuts like Ctrl-Alt-Escape. I know that as a Windows user it would definitely make my transition easier. I'm sure users of Mac's and other OSes have their own personal favorite shortcuts that they'd like to remap as well. +1
