Description
Usplash tends to cause issues at boot and an option to boot the live CD without it, and install with usplash disabled would be beneficial to many to have video issues as a result of usplash.

I tend to disagree because I have installed a lot of computers and real issues with usplash are very rare, There is a few major bugs that are clearly identified and the rest was caused by wrong values installed by gutsy ubiquity installer in /etc/usplash.conf. I think that it's a better idea to invest our time fixing these issues than removing usplash which should normally works on all hardware. However, that's my opinion, thanks for posting your ideas!

On the few computers you can delete the option "splash" (and even "quiet") from the kernel parameters at the boot screen.
That will do the trick (I do this sometimes on systems where are problems to see what's going on)
