Idea #22898: Rhythmbox should be able to locate songs according to the file path

Written by atti the 10 Dec 09 at 23:09. Related project: Gnome. Status: New
Rationale
When you type something in the "Search" box of Rhythmbox the program does actually look for the corresponding songs but ONLY when the text matches the Artist, Album or Song Title field. Rhythmbox should be able to locate the file also according to the path of the file.

For example: If some songs are in the folder "Beatles" but their ID3 tags report "Unknown artist" I should be able to reach them simply by typing "Beatles" in the quicksearch field.
iTunes does actually work in this way.

Solution #1: Include the "Path" field in the quicksearch feature

A good solution could be simply to include the Path field as another place where to look for to match the given string.
