Idea #22607: Tasks in Ubuntu One

Written by Giwex the 23 Nov 09 at 05:36. Category: Office. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Ubuntu One is going beyond the concept of online space to put your files as it has already implemented contacts (from Evolution) and Notes (from Tomboy).
It would be nice to have the possibility to add also Tasks.

Tasque is an excellent program included in Gnome. It would be nice to add support to Ubuntu One

Solution #2: Use Evolution
Written by Giwex the 23 Nov 09 at 05:38.
Evolution already features Tasks. As Evolution is already integrated in Ubuntu One for Contact it can be extended with Tasks

Solution #3: Use Task Coach
Written by stoffel the 29 Nov 09 at 08:39.
Task Coach is a great program which already supports synchronizing with Funambol servers. As this is a Qt application, it may be only an option for KUbuntu.

Why not GTG (Getting Things GNOME)?

UbuntuOne sync/CouchDb sync is already under way, should be released for 0.3...

Thanks pblitofuerte. I discovered GTG and promptly added it as a solution

Writing support for tasks and calendar for evolution-data-server should be pretty easy, now that evolution-couchdb contains all the basic infrastructure
