Idea #21003: Outside Access to Firewalls Require More Than One Proxy

Written by johndoe32102002 the 11 Aug 09 at 03:42. Category: Internet & Networking. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
Outside internet access to internet users behind firewalls need more than one proxy sometimes. For example, a censured internet user behind Websense may need the local network proxy to access the filtered internet, but may need to use a secondary (or more) proxy to access to uncensored web-related data.

In System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy, users have the option of entering only one proxy to access the internet. This is the current setup for all variants of Ubuntu, such as Kubuntu.

Solution #1: Allow more than One Proxy Selection
Written by johndoe32102002 the 11 Aug 09 at 03:42.
There should be an option to allow users to input at least two proxies and select their chaining order.
