Description
Make Avant Window Navigator easily installable from the appropriate Ubuntu repository. It is annoying to have to install it from a 3rd party location.
Also, when installing have it ask if you want to automatically remove the bottom dock and reposition needed functionality to the top dock.

That is correct. This idea should be removed from the list of active ideas.

Actually the AWN in the Hardy repo is old (version 0.2.1) and very incomplete. AWN is actually up to 0.3.1 and has a core applets package that is pretty much required if you want to use any applets.
Should I post a new idea to request that AWN gets bumped to the current, and complete, version in Hardy's repos?

This idea is implemented. Now for the new AWN release, please open a new bug report in launchpad with that title "New upstream release 0.3.1" and give a direct link to the source code in the description of the bug report. Developers and packager will be able to work on this inside this bug report. Thank you! AWN is amazing.

Hi, I am a developer of AWN. The 0.3.1 is just to designate instability and is just visible when using a PPA built from bzr source. The current release is actually 0.2.6 which is in Intrepid, and we are working on 0.2.8, so no need (currently) for any new ideas or bugs.
