Rationale
Release parties are a great time to get CDs out to the public, however most release parties are held too soon for ShipIt to burn the CDs and ship out to the LOCOs.
Regarding solution #2, most release parties happen ether on the day of a release, or within a few days. I agree that it would be great if Shipit could get CDs out faster, but even if the CDs were magically created within 10 seconds of a release, the best they could do is get them to their destinations about 48 hours latter (and this would be quite expensive). Faster shipping would be great, but is not a solution to this problem.
#3 would not work due to the simple fact that the product is not in it's final state until release date, thus the reason for calling it a "release date"!

Solution #1's ability to tell the difference between ShipIt and user-burned is important. Glad it's in that solution.
If we can make the burning cycle faster, I don't see a reason why CDs cannot reach faster. It shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks for a package to reach anywhere in the world, tells my USPS experience.
