Idea #18831: Check "Headphone Jack Sense" in Volume Control as the default setting

Written by h2o4444 the 26 Mar 09 at 16:35. Category: Usability. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
I thought there was something wrong with my computer when I plugged in the headphones and heard music coming out of both the PC speakers and the headphones.

I posted the question in the forum back in January and no one helped me. It's only today that I realized I needed to manually check the box "Headphone Jack Sense" in Volume Control under Switches.

Please make this setting as default so no one gets confused.
Thanks!

This seems like a bug more than an idea...

I have an intel IBM ThinkCentre, and I actually had to enable a specific option before I could check the Headphone Jack Sense option in volume control - the sound came out from the internal speakers.
